KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Leading internal audit reviews, risk and controls self-assessment, internal controls testing, compliance reviews, business process review and risk analysis, providing value-added recommendations.
For internal audit review:
- Assign as lead auditor for entity-level (NPX) or special-area audit assignments.
- Prepare and develop a work plan by identifying high-risk areas to be examined for the audit assignment.
- Organise, manage and coordinate the field audits as follows:
- Review the key business processes;
- Review the root cause of the key issues identified during the audit and establish the seriousness of the discoveries;
- Determine the risk implication and recommend appropriate improvement measures (with consideration of business practicality).
- Conduct process review to identify possible area of weaknesses, potential conflict of duties, deliberate non-compliance and likelihood of high-risk control lapses.
- The review of key business processes will include but not limited to the following:
- Sales Cycle Management – sales order processing, credit control, receivable administration and sales return;
- Purchase Cycle Management – supplier management, material requirement planning, purchase order processing and payable administration;
- Inventory Cycle Management – inventory turnover analysis, consumption analysis, stocks ageing administration and quality control of aged materials;
- Cash Cycle Management – segregation of receipt and payable duties, proper authorization of payment, cash conversion cycle analysis.
- Follow-up on the implementation of audit recommendations.
- Ensure consistency in the use of audit methodology and support the strengthening and improvement of audit processes.
- Maintain excellent working relationships with auditees and senior management in order to resolve issues as they arise and provide practical solutions.
- Consolidate the audit findings for presentation to NPX management at audit exit meeting and prepare the audit report.
- Helping stakeholders to design and operationalize risk management framework
- Leading compliance reviews, design and operationalize compliance management framework
- Delivering projects from planning to closure and perform first review of team member’s work.
- Support ad-hoc projects as directed by the department manager.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
- This position will be based in Singapore.
- Candidate must possess at least Bachelor's Degree/Post Graduate Diploma/Professional Degree in Engineering (Chemical), Business Studies/Administration/Management, Finance/Accountancy/Banking or equivalent.
- At least 5 years of working experience in the manufacturing environment, service industry or public accounting. Those with knowledge of risk assurance management, operational and internal control areas, supply chain management, and internal audit are preferred.
- Meticulous, highly analytical, process-driven individual with the ability to work both independently and as a team member.
- Good communication skills in English and Chinese, both written & spoken, are required for this role in order to liaise with China counterparts.
- Computer literacy in ERP system (i.e. SAP), Microsoft Office and other business-related software will be advantageous.
- Frequent travelling is required (approximately 50% of the time).
