Role Purpose
The incumbent will be responsible for assisting the Finance team in the Financial Reporting and Control processes. The role will be part of the team to support in delivering a strong control and governance framework, implement control environment ensuring compliance with laws and regulations.
This is a 6-month contract role. Suitable candidate may be considered for a permanent role after the contract period.
Principal responsibilities
· Assist to ensure appropriate accounting applications and drive implementation of new accounting standards, regulatory reporting guidance and Group accounting policies and reporting requirements.
· Assist to provide support to the Finance manager for insightful senior management financial performance analytics.
· Ensure accuracy and data integrity in the end-to-end financial reporting process and regulatory process by ensuring compliance with the internal control requirement and assessing adequacy in the changing environment.
· Initiate and drives the reengineering and transformation of financial reporting processes to support faster reporting and contribute to timely management decision making and strategy formulation.
· Support business propositions to ensure appropriate accounting treatment and financial and regulatory reporting and disclosure.
· Engage with other Finance functions within the bank and across the Group.
