Job Description:

The role is for the position of VP – Network Data Architecture ASO TIS Job function in Singapore. The successful candidate will be part of a growing dynamic regional team that oversees IT design and development of Network Solutions In the region.

We are seeking a talented Network Architect to join our team. The Network Architect will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the network infrastructure to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our organization's data and systems.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Network Design and Architecture: Lead the design, planning, and implementation of scalable, high-performance data network architectures, including LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, and cloud-based network solutions.
  • Data Flow Management: Ensure efficient, secure, and optimized data flows across the organization's network infrastructure, including data canters, branch offices, and cloud services.
  • Technology Strategy and Roadmap: Collaborate with IT leadership to develop network strategies and roadmaps, ensuring alignment with business goals and future technology trends.
  • Capacity Planning: Perform ongoing network performance monitoring and capacity planning to handle current and future data demands.
  • Security Compliance: Collaborate with peer teams to ensure networks are designed and implemented with security best practices, regulatory compliance (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA), and threat mitigation in mind.
  • Vendor Management: Manage vendor relationships and evaluate third-party network technologies, products, and services to support business requirements.
  • Documentation and Standards: Develop and maintain documentation for network architecture, including diagrams, configuration guides, and operational procedures.
  • Cross-Department Collaboration: Partner with application, cloud, and infrastructure teams to optimize overall system performance and deliver integrated solutions.
  • Troubleshooting: Act as the top-level support for diagnosing, troubleshooting, and resolving complex network issues, ensuring business continuity.

Technical Capabilities

Arch, Design and Implement Network Solutions:

  • Design and implement Network solutions to protect the organization's network from unauthorized access and attacks.
  • Review current designs and re-design to improve quality of services and to ensure modernized, fit for purpose Network infra for employees.

Develop and Maintain Network Security Policies, Standards, and Procedures:

  • Develop network data security policies that outline the organization's security objectives and requirements.
  • Establish security standards and procedures for configuring and managing network security devices.

Contribute into Risk Assessments for Data / Connectivity Audits:

  • Participate in regular risk assessments on core infra to identify potential security vulnerabilities and threats.
  • Contribute to security audits to assess the effectiveness of existing controls and identify areas for improvement.
  • Recommend security enhancements based on the findings of risk assessments and audits.

Collaborate with IT Teams:

  • Work closely with IT teams to integrate requirements into network infrastructure and applications.
  • Provide guidance on implementing best practices and standards.
  • Collaborate with application developers and system administrators to ensure that business requirements are met.

Enhance Network Traffic Monitoring and Innovate Automations:

  • Enhance network traffic monitoring to effectively detect issues
  • Take appropriate actions to mitigate the impact of incidents and prevent future occurrences.
  • Look for predictive analysis/solutions to improve user experience, quality and capabilities of networks.

Provide Technical Guidance and Support:

  • Provide technical guidance and support to team on network best practices.
  • Assist in troubleshooting network Problems and coming up with solutions to address them.
  • In-depth insight and oversight onNetworking Protocols: Expertise in IP networking protocols (e.g., BGP, OSPF, MPLS, VLANs, IPsec, TCP/IP, QoS) and related technologies.
    Cloud Networking: Hands-on experience with cloud networking in platforms such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud, including hybrid cloud designs and integrations.
    Network Automation: Knowledge of network automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Python scripting, Terraform) to automate configuration, deployment, and management processes.
    Virtualization: Experience with network virtualization technologies such as SDN (Software-Defined Networking) and NFV (Network Function Virtualization).
    Security Technologies: Proficient in network security technologies like firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, DDoS protection, and identity access management (IAM).
    Network Monitoring: Familiarity with network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Netscout, Wireshark ) for performance and anomaly detection.
    Data Center Architecture: In-depth understanding of data center networking (e.g., spine-leaf, fabric architectures) and cloud connectivity

Job Requirements:

  • Min 15 years of experience in networking, with at least 7+ years in an architectural or senior engineering role.
  • Experience in leading the design, planning, and implementation of scalable, high-performance data network architectures, including LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, and cloud-based network solutions.
  • Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE), AWS Certified Advanced Networking, or other equivalent certifications.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise-level network architectures, data center environments, and cloud integration.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proven track record of innovative problem-solving and ability to troubleshoot complex network systems.
  • Experience in managing network infrastructure projects from initiation to completion, including budgeting, planning, and execution.
  • Bachelor’s Degree: Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Engineering, or a related field is required.
  • Master’s Degree (Preferred): An advanced degree in a relevant field is a plus, particularly in network architecture, cybersecurity, or cloud technologies.
