Job Description:
- Build and nurture strong relationships with small and medium-sized enterprise (SME) clients, understanding their unique financing needs and business goals.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for SME clients, responding promptly to inquiries, addressing concerns, and managing requests efficiently.
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of clients' industries and market conditions to deliver customized financial solutions.
- Identify and source new lending opportunities in the SME segment through prospecting and lead generation activities.
- Conduct thorough credit assessments and risk analyses, evaluating the creditworthiness, financial health, and repayment capacity of loan applicants.
- Structure and negotiate loan terms in line with the company’s lending policies, regulatory standards, and risk management guidelines.
- Manage an active portfolio of SME loan accounts, monitoring loan performance, repayment trends, and compliance with loan agreements.
- Proactively identify potential credit risks or delinquencies and implement necessary corrective actions.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including credit analysts and legal departments, to ensure the timely and accurate preparation of loan documents.
- Provide financial advisory services to clients, offering strategic insights on business growth, cash flow optimization, and capital allocation.
- Assist clients with loan applications and supporting documents, guiding them through the entire loan approval and disbursement process.
Job Requirements:
- A minimum of 4 years’ experience in commercial banking, SME lending, or relationship management, with a focus on business development and credit analysis.
- Proven track record in originating and managing SME loan portfolios, achieving sales targets, and effectively mitigating credit risks.
- Strong financial analysis skills, with the ability to interpret financial statements, assess credit risk, and conduct cash flow modeling.
- Familiarity with credit underwriting standards, loan structuring, and risk mitigation strategies in SME lending.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to build rapport with clients and negotiate effectively.
- Ability to explain complex financial concepts clearly and concisely, both in verbal and written formats.
- Strong networking capabilities and the ability to build relationships with key stakeholders in the SME sector, including business owners, industry associations, and referral partners.
