Salary: $5,000 - $7,000 (depends on experience)
Job Purpose:
Support the Deputy General Manager in managing a fleet of LNG carriers, ensuring safe transportation, contract compliance, and maximizing profits.
Key Responsibilities:
- Represent the owners for a fleet of LNG carriers.
- Manage project budgets and liaise with ship managers.
- Provide operational and commercial input for contract compliance.
- Assist in crisis management and deputize in the absence of the Deputy General Manager.
- Ensure contract governance, including time charterparties, shipbuilding contracts, and insurance policies.
- Handle commercial disputes and protect owners' interests.
- Control and review operating expenses (OPEX) and prepare variance analysis reports.
- Coordinate with charterers, ship managers, finance, P&I clubs, and other stakeholders.
Requirements:
- Degree in maritime, business, or related field.
- Knowledge of shipping operations, particularly LNG/tanker shipping.
- Familiarity with time charter/shipbuilding contracts.
- Financial literacy and experience in claims handling.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects.
- Advanced Excel and data analysis skills.
