What are we looking for?
Our Advanced Process Manufacturing, Singapore is seeking a Field Safety Leader with a solid background in construction support to join our growing team in Singapore. The Field safety leader is required to provide field safety support for their assigned area of responsibility. At minimum it is expected that the safety leader spent at least 70% of their time in the field.
It is a basic expectation that a safety leader on identifying an unsafe act or condition anywhere on the campus takes ownership for containment and resolution or hands it off to the correct owner to ensure resolution. The safety leader shall participate in the safety observation program and coach and mentor the contractor group on effective use of the system.
It is an expectation that the safety leader will be the single point of contact for identifying and resolving safety issues in their area of responsibility and escalating issues to the Client safety manager and project managers as appropriate.
Job Scope:
Deliverables include but are not limited to
- Identifying target improvement areas for the project. Provide strategic EHS direction and leadership.
- Provide and manage training to contractor.
- Carry out daily site inspection and provide holistic solution for cross site improvement.
- Performing PSSS/Flex/Base-build lateral EHS walks
- System/process equipment
- 2D checklist review and approval
- Attend and provide input during weekly and monthly EHS meeting.
- Ensure contractors fulfil local regulation and project EHS requirement.
- Manage key program(s) for construction EHS, including documentation, training, record keeping, compliance assurance, reporting and continuous improvement.
- Conduct EHS assessments such as working at heights, Control of Hazardous Energy (COHE), personal protective equipment (PPE), heavy equipment, electrical safety, forklift safety and other relevant assessments.
- Conduct and review audits of applicable EHS programs and develop recommendations and plans for improvement to ensure compliance with Client standards as well as federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
- Review and update Client EHS Construction standards, evaluate and communicate changes, interpret, and answer questions related to Client standards and EHS regulations.
- Use EHS data management systems to evaluate and communicate key indicators to continuously improve EHS metrics.
- Synthesize and report technical EHS requirements in an accurate, clear and streamlines manner.
- Lead and influence teams, lead incident investigations and root-cause analyses, and work closely with key customers on EHS initiatives
- DOSH registered green or yellow book holder or equivalent.
Experience in mega projects and semiconductor tools installs are added advantage. - Team player, willingness to manage and participate in diverse teams.
- SOR system to include checks on quality of content, compilation, and participation.
- SMBWA program and track progress against schedule weekly.
- Safe behaviour program including participation and % safe by contractor group
- Safe plan of action quality
- Toolbox talks safety content generation
- Weekly Safety reports and metrics
- Safety Improvement plans and mitigation
- Continuous improvement planning for Site safety
- Incident investigation management and reporting
- Attendance at site safety meetings
- Liaison with trades safety representatives to close on open safety issues
- Escalation to Site Safety manager for non-compliance.
- Any tasks as assigned by supervisor.
Job Requirements:
- Diploma or higher in occupational safety
- 4+ years’ experience in similar role.
Skills:
- Solid written/verbal communication skills
- Organisational skills and attention to detail
- Solid knowledge of MS Word and Excel
