Roles and Responsibilities
- Implement a comprehensive Site Safety Management System to manage risks and reduce accidents
- Implementation of workplace safety, health and environment programs and initiatives
- Enforcement of safety standards in accordance with the Workplace Safety and Health Act
- Conducting training programs on workplace safety and health and inspections to ensure that all staff and/or subcontractors onsite abide by policies and standards
- Ensure strict compliance of procedures in statutory workplace, safety, health & environment requirements at sites and required premises
- Implementation of effective safety management system, preventive measures as well as risk assessment to minimize accidents at the assigned workplace/site
- Preparation and/or submission of safety /incident reports and necessary audits
- Assist the company in safety related certifications and awareness such as safety audits, meetings, and execution of safety programmes
- Any other ad hoc duties assigned from time to time
Requirements
- Possess minimum Specialist Diploma in WSH (Level 3)
- Registered Safety Offer/WSH Officer with MOM for minimum of 5 years
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in WSH/ Marine Trade
- Pro-active, adaptable, independent; able to work with minimal supervision and perform under a fast-paced environment
