Description
To assist the Head of Department (HOD) for the assigned business unit in implementing business development strategies and to win contracts for the company. To also manage relationship with existing and potential clients to develop new opportunities and advance organisation’s business interests.
Responsibilities
- To identify business opportunities and maintain project pipelines.
- To coordinate and follow up on tenders.
- To work closely with the HOD to valuate and strategize approaches for both maintaining existing clientele, and evaluate new markets for existing products and services to achieve market expansion and business development goals.
- To undertake market research (in house or outsource) to keep the management abreast of latest market and industry trends.
- To assist the HOD to identify, build, and manage long-term business relationships with clients and strategic partners.
- To provide support to HOD to drive strategic initiatives related to mergers/acquisitions, strategic alliances opportunities in the market, to facilitate business growth and/or market share.
Requirements
- Diploma and/or Degree in Engineering or Business Administration preferred.
- Preferably with at least 3 years of relevant working experience in business development in engineering, construction, maintenance work for oil & gas or energy industry.
