- Assists Lead Engineer in developing concept for new project work;
- To develop Civil & Structural framing plans, layouts from concept stage to basic engineering stage to further detailed engineering stage for smaller to larger projects;
- Assists Lead Civil and Structural Lead in developing Civil and structural details, drawings, calculations, specifications for larger projects;
- Works independently in the detailed design, specifications, and calculations;
- Develops Expertise in carrying out design works to comply to local code requirements;
- Ensures that the drawings developed for the project comply to project standards/ company standards;
- Assists Lead Engineer in dealing with shop drawings, vendor print review and comment, if necessary or as advised by the Lead Engineer;
- Assists Lead Engineer working on developing necessary documents as per project requirement and also assist Lead Engineer in analyzing output results;
- Assists Lead Engineer in meeting with client in kick off meeting or other weekly meeting as and when needed;
- Provides guidance to the Assistant Engineer, Engineer in carrying out the design works;
- Visits Client site as and when necessary and as advised by Lead Engineer;
- Assists in technical report writing, compiling and coordinating;
- Assists Project Managers in achieving project completion within budget and on schedule;
- Addresses site issues related to design;
- Supports construction on solving process design issues. Visit site to check and analyses issues;
- Assists Project Managers in achieving project completion within budget on schedule;
Requirements
- Bachelor Degree in Engineering (Civil)
- Design and Construction experience preferably in industrial buildings with Precast and Long span roof trusses experiences
- Experience with checking of shop drawings for Precast and steel structures and able to do detailed Design and work in a team and able to provide details for computer aided design team
- Familiar with the Local authorities requirements for civil and structural submissions
