The IT Business Analyst at Lifelong Learning Institute (LLI) will support and enhance LLI’s IT systems by collaborating with vendors and internal stakeholders to identify business needs, design system improvements, and ensure smooth project delivery.
The role focuses on managing the intranet system, improving procurement processes, and facilitating system automation to optimise LLI’s operations.
Responsibilities
Business Analysis & Solution Design
- Collaborate with vendors and business users to manage and maintain the LLI intranet system
- Analyse and document business requirements, specifically for procurement processes, and translate them into system design specifications
- Work closely with the procurement team to identify system improvements and automation opportunities to streamline operations
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their requirements and develop detailed documentation to support system improvements
- Analyse current business processes, identify inefficiencies, and recommend enhancements for greater efficiency and system optimisation
- Collaborate with IT teams to design technical solutions that align with LLI’s business objectives
Project Management
- Assist in project planning and tracking, ensuring milestones are met, and projects are delivered on time and within scope
- Monitor progress to ensure alignment with business goals and manage any risks or roadblocks that arise during the project lifecycle
- Develop and execute test cases to ensure that the solutions implemented meet business requirements
- Prepare training materials and support users post-implementation to ensure smooth system adoption
Vendor Management
- Manage relationships with external vendors, ensuring service delivery aligns with business requirements and project timelines
- Work closely with vendors to ensure system performance, upgrades, and issue resolution are handled promptly and efficiently
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Business, or a related field. Agile or PMI-PBA certifications are a plus
- 2-4 years of experience as an IT Business Analyst or in a similar role, with hands-on experience in both Agile and Waterfall methodologies
- Experience working with a System Integrator (SI) or IT services company, with strong vendor management skills
- Familiarity with software development lifecycle (SDLC), ITIL frameworks, and basic networking
- Proficiency in the Microsoft ecosystem (M365, MS Intune, MS Purview) and experience with Windows systems
- Familiarity with SharePoint portal user permissions and content management is an advantage
- Understanding of procurement processes and ERP systems is a plus
- Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail
- Understanding of industry regulations such as GDPR, PDPA and ISO 27001 is preferred

Successful candidates will be offered a 2-year contract in the first instance and may be considered for an extension or be placed on a permanent tenure
