RESPONSIBILITIES
- Monitor and maintain the stability, availability, and performance of Open Systems and AS/400 environments. Troubleshoot and resolve issues promptly to minimize downtime and impact on business operations.
- Manage and resolve incidents, including root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions. Ensure timely communication with stakeholders regarding the status and resolution of incidents.
- Implement and maintain monitoring tools and processes to proactively identify potential issues and address them before they affect operations.
- Evaluate and manage changes to the production environment, ensuring that all changes are thoroughly tested and documented before implementation.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of systems, processes, and procedures. Ensure all documentation is up-to-date and accessible to relevant team members.
- Work closely with development teams, business units, and other stakeholders to understand requirements, provide support, and ensure smooth integration of new applications and systems.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of production support activities.
- Ensure all activities comply with internal policies, industry regulations, and best practices.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in AS400 development within the banking industry.
- Experience in the banking or financial services industry, particularly with credit card systems, is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of system analysis, design, and integration.
- Expertise in application development and maintenance on the AS/400 platform.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team a fast-paced environment.
