(Contract) Assistant Manager, Reporting

A regional financial reporting role, which is a newly created headcount with our client who is a renowned global general insurance company.

About the job

  • Prepare and review journal entries and month-end closing activities for Group and regulatory reporting.
  • Prepare and review regulatory reports, annual financial statements, and tax matters.
  • Address queries from auditors and regulators
  • Support the department with internal/external audits and reporting.
  • Drive process improvements, enhance local regulatory reporting, and work on finance automation projects.
  • Perform and review balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Assist with regional integration projects.

Skills and experience required

  • Degree in Accountancy or Finance.
  • At least 3 years of experience in financial reporting, ideally in the insurance industry.
  • Excellent knowledge of accounting principles and regulatory requirements.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and work hands-on when necessary.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
