Job Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement comprehensive sustainability communications strategy that aligns with Wilmar’s mission and values
- Develop sustainability narratives for various audiences including customers, investors, bankers and Wilmar employees
- Develop sustainability-focussed marketing campaigns, integrating messaging across digital, print, social media and event channels
- Collaborate with business units both centrally in Singapore as well as our other operations globally to ensure sustainability is woven into broader brand positioning and consumer-facing communications
- Develop and manage content that highlights Wilmar’s sustainability achievements, innovations and partnerships
- Represent Wilmar for sustainability-related media inquiries and proactively build relationships with journalists and influencers in the sustainability space
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including sustainability teams, government agencies, NGOs, and industry groups, to amplify sustainability messaging and initiatives
- Support executive leadership in positioning the company as an industry leader in sustainability, including speechwriting, media training, and public appearances
- Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of sustainability communications and marketing efforts
- Provide regular reporting and analysis on the impact of sustainability campaigns, making data-driven recommendations for improvements
- Collaborate with the crisis communications team to manage reputation risk related to environmental and sustainability issues
- Lead the creation of proactive communication strategies to mitigate risk and maintain the company’s reputation during sustainability-related crises
- Foster cross-functional collaboration with sustainability, operations, product, and legal teams to ensure cohesive messaging and compliance with sustainability goals and regulations
Job Requirements:
- Good Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science/Engineering or related field
- Minimum 7 years’ experience, preferably in agriculture, commodities or biofuel industries industry.
- Excellent written and oral communication, and interpersonal skills
- Strong business acumen and ability to remain composed in various situations when representing the group in events/committees
- Self-Driven with the ability to take actions proactively
- Good organisational and project management skills
- Must be both a team and independent playerilling to travel
