Our client is a well-established financial institution seeking a motivated Junior Officer / Investment Analyst to join their Asset Management team.
Key Responsibilities
• Assist in establishing processes and workflows for the launch of new funds or asset management products, as well as monitor existing products.
• Analyze market trends and identify opportunities for new product development and investment strategies.
• Address operational, legal, compliance, or risk-related issues while ensuring adherence to industry regulations.
• Negotiate and review legal documents and agreements related to the asset management business.
• Participate in developing and monitoring client portfolios.
• Support new product implementation and approval processes in the asset management division.
• Maintain systematic records and filings for all relevant processes.
• Assist the Fund Manager in preparing investment meetings, report writing, and supporting various fund management activities.
• Manage the department’s day-to-day operations and perform business-as-usual (BAU) tasks.
• Perform any ad hoc tasks or projects as assigned by the Department Head.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field. A Master’s degree or CFA qualification is an advantage.
• 1-3 years of experience in investment, financial analysis, asset management, private equity, or banking.
• Familiarity with equity and fixed-income markets, Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs), financial instruments, and investment strategies.
• Strong financial modeling and valuation techniques, with an in-depth understanding of financial statement analysis.
• Proficiency in financial tools such as Bloomberg, FactSet, Thomson Reuters, and Excel (VBA knowledge is an advantage).
• Experience working with financial databases and analytics platforms.
