Sales and Marketing Specialist - Bunker Supply
Responsibilities:
- Maintain and expand an existing client base while developing and implementing marketing strategies to attract new customers and enhance relationships with existing clients.
- Stay informed on global oil and energy market trends; conduct research and analysis to monitor supply and demand in the bunker supply sector to identify business opportunities.
- Understand the International Bunker business landscape, including key players (ports, suppliers, owners, charterers) and relevant regulations.
- Demonstrate knowledge of the oil market, marine fuel pricing strategies, and the maritime shipping industry.
- Create effective marketing materials to communicate service offerings and value propositions to both new and existing customers.
- Manage a customer portfolio, taking direct responsibility for negotiating and executing sales transactions from quoting to delivery and post-delivery support.
- Monitor customer utilization of company credit lines and payment performance; assist with collections as necessary.
- Handle disputes or claims resolution efficiently in the event of disagreements.
- Support the development and training of junior staff and trainees.
- Adhere to company group policies and procedures.
Requirements:
- Degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; equivalent professional qualification is also acceptable.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar Sales/Marketing capacity.
- Background in the oil and gas industry is a significant advantage.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to articulate ideas clearly and persuasively.
- Excellent analytical skills for market assessment and decision-making.
- Strong interpersonal relationship skills and a proactive approach to customer engagement.
- Exceptional organizational skills with a focus on follow-up.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Fluent in English and Mandarin; proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
