Pawkit is a dynamic pet tech company focused on providing mobile and in-home pet care services, including vet care, grooming, medical pet sitting, and more. We are looking for a dedicated Vet Nurse who enjoys being on the move, delivering nursing care directly to pet owners' homes. This is not your typical clinic job; the role requires flexibility, mobility, and a passion for personalized pet care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Travel to clients' homes for housecall nursing services, including assisting vets on visits.
- Perform nursing duties such as administering subcutaneous fluids, placing IV catheters, and other essential medical tasks.
- Be on standby for sporadic housecalls and emergency nursing services as needed.
- Ensure timely delivery of medications to clients.
- Manage and maintain the practice management software to ensure smooth operations.
- Maintain and update inventory, ensuring that medical supplies are well-stocked.
- Communicate effectively with pet owners, providing them with updates and care instructions for their pets.
Requirements:
- Must possess a valid Class 3A driving license.
- Ability to work independently, travel between locations, and manage time efficiently.
- Flexible and adaptable to sporadic work schedules, including housecalls outside of routine hours.
- Experience with veterinary nursing tasks such as subcutaneous fluid administration and IV catheter placement.
- Good time management, takes initiative, hardworking and a team player.
- Competency in maintaining software and inventory systems.
- Excellent communication skills and a passion for animals.
