We are seeking a dynamic leader for the position of Global Quality Head for our client in the consumer electronics space. He/she will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive qualification strategies in line with new product development.
Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning and Leadership
- Develop and implement global qualification strategies aligned with the company’s business objectives.
- Lead and manage a global team of qualification specialists.
- Ensure continuous improvement of qualification processes and methodologies.
Compliance and Standards
- Ensure all products are qualified according to international quality standards and regulatory requirements.
- Updating qualification processes accordingly to changes in global regulations and standards.
Qualification Processes
- Oversee the development and execution of qualification plans for new products and updates to existing products.
- Manage the documentation and reporting of qualification activities.
- Ensure robust testing and validation processes are in place.
Supplier Management
- Responsible for series process and product quality for all products manufactured by external contract manufacturers.
- Main contact and responsibility for Asian contract manufacturers (for product and process quality, purchasing and development services are covered by other functions).
- Supplier and partner evaluation and selection (product and process quality).
- Provide technical guidance and support to external partners.
Cross-functional Collaboration
- Work closely with project management, product design, regulatory and compliance, production, product management to ensure qualification requirements are integrated into the product development lifecycle.
- Provide technical guidance and support to internal teams.
Risk Management
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with product qualification and compliance.
- Develop contingency plans to address potential qualification issues.
Customer Focus
- Engage with customers to understand their qualification needs and expectations.
- Ensure customer feedback is incorporated into qualification processes.
Requirement:
- Technical degree with minimum 8 to 10 years relevant experience in product and process qualification, of which 5 years with leadership responsibility within consumer electronics product development experience.
- PMI certification or similar
- Broad technical knowledge in Product development and Quality processes experience.
- Good strategic thinking skills with high leadership skills or the respective potential.
- Good knowledge of tools and methods to organize, and proven ability to empower and motivate people and teams.
