The NUS High School of Mathematics and Science is a specialised school offering a seamless 6-year programme to students between the ages of 12+ and 18 years and who have an aptitude for Mathematics and Science. We invite suitable applicants for the following position:
EDUCATION AND CAREER GUIDANCE (ECG) COUNSELLOR
You will help students discover their strengths, interests and aspirations, and develop future-readiness.
You will guide them in making informed plans and decisions for their education and career through individual and group counselling, coaching sessions and workshops.
You will also work closely with teachers, parents and other partners from relevant agencies and various industries to monitor developments and design appropriate guidance programme, e.g. ECG curriculum, and strengthen capacity of the school team.
You will also coach, advise and provide guidance on University and Scholarship plans and applications.
Requirements:
- At least a Bachelor’s degree from a reputable university.
- At least 5 years of working experience.
- Good industry knowledge and/ or experience in education and career counselling would be an advantage.
- Passion for working with young people, especially in guiding them on their education and career pathways.
- An open-minded mindset, be flexible and exhibit cultural sensitivity in managing different profiles of stakeholders.
- A positive and encouraging nature.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and networking skills.
- Strong collaborative and time management skills.
- Ability to develop systems and structure
