Job Summary:
The Confectionery Sales Director will lead the sales team, develop sales strategies, and drive business growth in the confectionery sector. Key Responsibilities:
- Sales Strategy Development:
Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy for the confectionery product lines to drive revenue growth and increase market share. - Market Analysis:
Conduct market research to identify trends, customer needs, and opportunities in the confectionery industry. Analyze competitor strategies to position the company effectively. - Revenue and Profit Targets:
Set, monitor, and achieve sales targets, revenue goals, and profit margins. Ensure that the sales team meets or exceeds these targets. - Team Leadership:
Lead, motivate, and manage the sales team, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback. Ensure that the team is aligned with the company's goals. - Key Account Management:
Build and maintain strong relationships with major clients, distributors, and retailers. Ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty. - Business Development:
Identify new sales channels, opportunities, and potential partnerships to expand the company’s presence in new markets. - Pricing and Negotiation:
Develop pricing strategies for products, lead negotiations with key accounts, and ensure optimal pricing to maximize profitability. - Sales Forecasting:
Provide accurate sales forecasts and performance reports to senior management. Utilize sales data to inform future strategies. - Product Promotion:
Collaborate with the marketing team to promote confectionery products, including product launches, campaigns, and promotional activities. - Cross-Department Collaboration:
Work closely with product development, production, and logistics teams to ensure product availability, quality control, and timely delivery to customers.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
- Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or related field (MBA is a plus). - Experience:
Minimum 7-10 years of experience in sales, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role, preferably in the confectionery, FMCG, or food industry. - Sales Expertise:
Strong understanding of sales strategies, account management, and business development, particularly in the confectionery or FMCG sectors. - Leadership Skills:
Proven experience in managing and developing high-performing sales teams. - Communication Skills:
