The incumbent will support the Project Manager in monitoring and meeting SLNG HSSE KPIs for the project, and also work closely with internal stakeholders to resolve HSSE issues.
Responsibilities
- Ensure that the main contractor has obtained the necessary permits and licenses to carry out their work
- Drive positive safety culture at worksite
- Ensure systems, processes, emergency response plan and training programmes are in place to manage risks at the worksite
- Establish adequate systems and processes for safe commissioning and ensure that the HSSE risks are addressed in risk assessments and SOPs
- Participate in Pre-Startup Safety Review, joint site inspection, main contractor’s Workplace Safety & Health Committee meetings and incident investigations
- Part of Process Risk Assessment team i.e. HAZOP or PHA where required
- Prepare monthly project HSSE report, including monthly safety manhours
- Report any incident to SLNG Project Manager and HSSE team
Requirements
- Diploma in an Engineering discipline
- At least 15 years’ experience as HSSE Manager in the oil & gas or petrochemical industries with experience in construction related projects
- Proficient in the audit and requirements of Safety and Health Management Systems (SHMS) such as SS651:2019 and/or ISO 45001:2018
- Familiar with local regulations relating to Occupational Safety, Health, and Environmental
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Registered Workplace Safety and Health Officer with MOM
