We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in logistics, particularly in air and marine freight services, and will be responsible for driving business growth by identifying new opportunities, building strong relationships, and developing strategies to expand our market presence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Market Research & Analysis: Conduct thorough market research to identify new business opportunities in air and marine freight logistics.
- Client Acquisition & Relationship Management: Identify, approach, and acquire new clients while managing relationships with existing customers to ensure long-term partnerships.
- Sales Strategy Development: Develop and implement strategic sales plans to expand the company's customer base and increase revenue.
- Contract Negotiation: Lead negotiations on contracts, ensuring terms are favorable for the company while meeting the needs of the client.
- Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including operations, finance, and customer service, to ensure smooth execution of contracts and client requirements.
- Performance Monitoring: Track and analyse sales performance metrics and KPIs to ensure goals are met or exceeded.
- Networking & Promotion: Attend industry events, trade shows, and conferences to promote the company's services and expand professional networks.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in business development, sales, or account management in the logistics industry, with a focus on air and marine freight.
- Proven track record of successfully developing business and closing deals in a competitive market.
