Principal Responsibilities and Duties:
- Support the team in providing guidance and support to youths, especially those with special needs, to help them achieve their potential.
- Support and manage weekly centre operations and activities.
- Develop, design, and assist with the implementation of the Aptitude Buddy Club and school Programmes.
- Provide mentorship to youths, including those with special needs, focusing on character development, career readiness (e.g., resume writing, interview skills), and internship.
- Support outreach efforts and manage the enrollment process for the Programmes.
- Support in recruiting, deployment, and manage volunteers effectively for Programme activities.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders—including industry partners, ITE, caregivers, employers, and volunteers—to ensure smooth Programme operations.
- Assist in evaluating Programmes to measure Programme effectiveness and impact.
- Perform other tasks and responsibilities as assigned by the Reporting Officer (RO).
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in youth work or social work, with some background in programme design, monitoring, and evaluation preferred.
- Relevant Background: Experience working with youths, especially those with special needs, is an advantage.
- Interpersonal Skills: Strong ability to empathize with others, coupled with effective communication and relationship-building skills.
- Teamwork: Ability to collaborate effectively with team members, sharing information and contributing to collective goals.
- Analytical and Organizational Skills: Skill in analyzing complex information and organizing tasks and resources efficiently.
- Attention to Detail: High level of focus on accuracy and thoroughness, ensuring high-quality and error-free work.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Empathy: Ability to understand and relate to the feelings and needs of others, including youths with special needs.
- Facilitation Skills: Proficient in leading group discussions, managing meetings, and ensuring productive participation and outcomes.
- Technical Proficiency: Competent in MS Office Suite, including Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
