Interior Designer

We are looking for a creative and experienced Interior Designer to join our team and help transform spaces into functional, aesthetically pleasing environments. The ideal candidate will have a passion for design, strong technical skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects while working closely with clients and contractors. You will be responsible for leading interior design projects from concept to completion, ensuring that each space meets the client’s needs and reflects their style preferences.

Key Responsibilities:

Client Consultation and Needs Analysis:

  • Meet with clients to understand their design needs, preferences, budget, and timeline.
  • Provide professional guidance on space planning, materials, and aesthetics.
  • Create mood boards, sketches, and presentations to communicate design ideas.

Design Concept Development:

  • Develop detailed design concepts for residential, commercial, or hospitality spaces.
  • Create floor plans, 3D renderings, and design documentation using industry-standard software.
  • Select and specify furniture, fixtures, finishes, and materials.

Space Planning and Layouts:

  • Create functional, efficient, and aesthetically pleasing space layouts.
  • Ensure proper traffic flow, ergonomics, and safety considerations in designs.
  • Collaborate with architects, contractors, and engineers to ensure the feasibility of designs.

Material and Product Selection:

  • Research and select appropriate materials, finishes, furnishings, and accessories that meet project requirements.
  • Work within the client's budget to source furniture, lighting, and materials.

Project Management:

  • Oversee all phases of the design process, including planning, material procurement, and installation.
  • Manage timelines and budgets, ensuring projects are completed on time and within financial limits.
  • Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and installers to ensure quality execution.

Technical Documentation:

  • Prepare detailed technical drawings and specifications for construction teams.
  • Ensure all designs meet building codes, accessibility standards, and safety regulations.
  • Review shop drawings and product specifications for accuracy.

On-Site Visits and Installations:

  • Conduct on-site visits to monitor project progress, resolve issues, and ensure designs are being implemented as planned.
  • Supervise installations, ensuring that all design elements are in place and the final space aligns with the client’s expectations.

Post-Project Support:

  • Conduct final walkthroughs with clients and handle any necessary revisions or adjustments.
  • Offer post-completion support for minor adjustments and feedback.

Requirements

Educational Background:Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.

Experience:

  • at least 2 years of professional experience in interior design, including experience working on residential or commercial projects.
  • Proven experience in developing design concepts and managing projects from start to finish.

Portfolio:

  • A strong portfolio showcasing a variety of design projects that demonstrate creativity, technical skills, and attention to detail.

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and liaise effectively with clients, contractors, and vendors.
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing project needs.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on delivering high-quality results.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in design software, including AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
  • Experience with 3D rendering software (e.g., Lumion, V-Ray, Enscape) is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of color theory, textile selection, and material finishes.
  • Knowledge of building codes, accessibility standards, and safety regulations.
