As an Infrastructure Architecture Lead, you will be responsible for leading the design, development, and implementation of payment IT infrastructure solutions that align with the organization's strategic goals.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and guide the design and architecture of complex IT infrastructure solutions, including cloud, on-premises, and hybrid environments.
- Participate in and contribute to IT strategic planning, ensuring that infrastructure solutions align with long-term business goals
- Manage and coordinate infrastructure projects from conception through implementation, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget
- Plan and execute technology refreshes for payment infrastructure equipment and systems, keeping them current with technological advancements and industry standards.
- Evaluate and recommend new technologies and tools to improve the efficiency, performance, and security of the organization's infrastructure.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of engineers and data centre ops, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment.
- Work closely with business units, IT teams, and external vendors to understand requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs.
- Identify potential risks in the infrastructure design and propose mitigation strategies to ensure system stability and security.
- Maintain Comprehensive Disaster Recovery Plans for Infrastructure Architecture
- Develop and enforce infrastructure architecture standards and best practices to ensure consistency and quality across all projects, and managed policies and procedures to ensure compliance to industry standards and regulatory.
- Participate in budget planning and management for infrastructure projects, ensuring cost-effective solutions without compromising quality or performance.
- Ensure comprehensive documentation of infrastructure designs, configurations, and procedures to support ongoing operations and maintenance.
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Min 8 years of experience in IT infrastructure architecture, DC set up and migration, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Experience with hybrid cloud environments, technology refresh and Disaster Recovery strategies.
- Strong expertise in data center operations, servers, virtualization, networking, storage solutions, security architecture.
- Proven ability to lead and mentor technical teams, manage complex projects, and drive architectural decisions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure issues.
- Knowledge of payment industry regulatory requirement and compliance (eg, TRMG, PSN06), and security standards relevant to IT infrastructure.
