Workshop Supervisor (Automotive)

We are an established car dealer with own workshop with more than 40 mechanics. We have a vacancy for Workshop Supervisor to oversee the day-to-day operations of the workshop, ensuring that all projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and lead a team of workshop staff, including controller, mechanics and interns.
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute workshop activities and projects.
  • Allocate tasks and monitor the progress of work to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Provide technical solutions to mechanics when they encounter issues.
  • Inspect and assess the quality of work produced in the workshop.
  • Ensure that all products and services meet or exceed customer expectations.
  • Ensure that all equipment is in good working order and available when needed.
  • Oversee the maintenance and repair of workshop tools and equipment.
  • Perform hands-on repairs in the absence of a team member.
  • Monitor workflow to identify any bottlenecks and implement solutions.
  • Enforce health and safety regulations within the workshop.
  • Liaise with clients to understand their requirements and ensure their satisfaction.

Requirements:

  • Diploma or Technical certification in Automotive, Engineering, Mechanical or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a supervisory role in a workshop environment.
  • Strong understanding of workshop machinery, tools, and processes.
  • Proven leadership and team management skills to motivate and guide a diverse team.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with clients and team members.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues quickly.
  • Work location: Jurong
  • Shift - Monday to Friday with alternate Saturday
