This role is for our client, a multinational commercial bank. This role is responsible for evaluating credit risks, conducting periodic reviews of client portfolios, and ensuring compliance with credit policies.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct credit assessments for new business and perform periodic risk reviews of existing clients and portfolios.
- Independently control and monitor key aspects of the credit process, ensuring compliance with credit policies.
- Prepare and review facility and security documentation according to credit approvals and department procedures.
- Track and report on compliance with conditions precedent and subsequent.
- Manage security and documentation for the credit portfolio and maintain relevant databases.
- Produce timely and accurate credit proposals with clear risk identification and recommendations.
- Provide guidance on Group Credit Policy and ensure credit applications comply with standards.
- Maintain independence in the 2nd line of defense while supporting the 1st line in underwriting.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Economics, Finance, Accountancy, or Business Administration.
- 5-7 years in credit functions and 3-5 years in credit admin or a similar role within a large financial institution.
- Microsoft excel proficieny is a must
- ARM candidates who have experience in credit writing can be considered.
- In depth knowledge and experience in writing full credit papers and annual reviews.
- Open to contract role - renewable!
