Job Overview
Our client is looking for a Sales & Application Engineer to join their sales team in Singapore. In this role, you will handle sales inquiries, provide proposals to customers, and manage after-sales issues, such as on-site troubleshooting. You'll be responsible for driving sales of vacuum pump systems, parts, and services in Singapore, working towards meeting individual sales targets and developing new accounts.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle sales inquiries and generate proposals for pumps, repairs, field services, and spare parts.
- Assist with hands-on troubleshooting and after-sales support.
- Sell vacuum pump systems, parts, and services directly to customers in Singapore.
- Meet individual sales targets set by the company.
- Develop new accounts and explore key industries like food packaging, medical, petrochemical, automotive, and semiconductor.
- Engage with customers daily to coordinate and initiate sales activities.
- Prepare quarterly sales forecasts and achieve monthly and yearly sales targets for the Singapore region.
- Track and report sales activities, and submit weekly and monthly reports on time.
- Create leads, follow up on opportunities, and manage quotations.
- Review contracts before order entry, ensuring customer specifications match the offer, and coordinate with the Order Administration team on deliveries.
- Work with customers to find suitable technical solutions for their needs.
- Conduct competitive analysis to understand market pricing in various segments.
- Provide product and application training to customers.
Skills & Requirements
- Diploma or ITE in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering.
- 2-3 years of experience in sales, sales application, or marketing in industries such as electronics, semiconductor, biomedical, oil & gas, chemical, or pharmaceutical.
- Knowledge of pumps and field experience is a plus, but not required.
- Technical or field engineers with a flair for sales are highly considered
- Possess a valid Singapore driving license & own vehicle. Rented vehicle can be considered
