- Assist the main lab LTOs in maintaining the labs.
- Prepare and top up ready-made reagents (acids, bases, etc.).
- Top up organic solvents in bottles on the side bench.
- Refill DI water bottles and containers.
- Handle in-situ and post-lab cleanups, ensuring lab safety (cleaning tables, balances, centrifuges, etc.).
- Ensure proper disposal of waste in designated containers.
- Assist with ad-hoc student chemical top-ups.
- Organize and arrange lab baskets appropriately.
- Assist and guide students in the proper use of instruments/apparatus.
- Monitor the signing in and out of instruments.
- Ensure instruments are in working condition.
Requirements
- Minimum relevant diploma (Life Science/Biochemical related course)
- Minimum 2 years of relevant lab experience preferred
- Familiar with good laboratory practices and safe working procedures
- Possess good organizational and planning skills
- Experience in IB school laboratory will be an advantage.
- Able to commit from 7 October to 30 October 2024.
