Job Description

1. As a General Manager of Risk Management in APAC, contribute to the expansion of healthy investment business and trading business within the APAC region, by establishing and strengthening risk management frameworks and implementing measures aimed at efficient operations.

2. In line with the Japan head office-wide risk management policy and operational policies of regional head office and directives from regional CFO, plan and design measures for establishment, enhancement, and efficiency improvements of risk management systems.

3. In collaboration with regional risk management departments, implement appropriate risk management for the entire APAC region.

4. Through the responsibilities in Risk Management, contribute to strengthening the consolidated profit from the perspective of both regional head office members and global CFO member.

5. Conduct appropriate analysis and provide advice on regional investment projects from the perspective of risk-return.

6. In collaboration with the regional risk management department, implement appropriate credit risk, market risk and investment risk management by measuring risk-return.

7.In businesses with volatile commodity prices, build an appropriate middle and back office system and manage it.


Job Requirements

1. To ensure compliance and integrity on your own.

2. Assist the regional CFO in various measures to support. To develop and strengthen the risk management structure for Investment risk, Credit risk, Commodity market risk and Foreign currency exchange risk, and operate it efficiently in order to contribute to the expansion of APAC region's all investment and trading business on a consolidated basis.

3. Provide maximum and generous support to each local offices so that they can handle credit and market risk management properly by themselves. Educate and penetrate credit and market risk management for each local offices.

4. In case of Account Receivable is over due by trading business, help with debt collection from a specialist perspective. Implementing the formulation of strategies for A/R collection and preparing the necessary contract for better negotiation.And go to customer and negotiate how we collect, for example, customers in Cambodia, Australia and Indonesia.

5. When considering investment project, analyze the target company together with the sales department and provide advice on whether or not to proceed from the perspective of risk-return. Conduct valuation of target company through business and finance due diligence, and if necessary, travel to the target company and negotiate with CFO of the target company directly, for example, travel to India, Bangladesh, Pakistan, etc.

6. Check whether affiliate company is properly implementing credit and market risk management and provide support if necessary.

7. Conduct country risk analysis for the AP region and provide advice to the sales department that conducts investment and trade.

8. Had more than 15 years of experience in risk management area. Particularly in credit risk management, market risk, such as risk control for listed commodity, and foreign exchange risk management.

9. Familiar with framework of bankruptcy law and procedures such as Japan, Europe, US and Asian countries. Experience in formulating debt collection strategies and negotiation for the debt collection.

10. Experience in investment risk management/support or secondment to affiliate company as a Directors or CFO member.

11. Experience working for big Japanese conglomerate. Have the skill of speaking and writing fluent English and Japanese.
