Job Description:
We are seeking an SAP BOBJ Lead to join our team and lead our SAP BusinessObjects reporting initiatives. The ideal candidate will be a dynamic leader with deep expertise in SAP BOBJ (BI/BO), Web Intelligence (WebI), ABAP CDS, and REST API programming. This role is ideal for someone with strong data analytics skills and experience in front-end user-facing solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
· Lead and manage the reports team, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to team members.
· Oversee the development, deployment, and maintenance of reports using the SAP BusinessObjects (BOBJ) suite.
· Manage BOBJ administration tasks, including user management, security, folder grouping, and authorization management.
· Develop and implement REST API integrations to facilitate seamless data exchange between BOBJ and other systems.
· Lead the development of HANA ABAP CDS views, ABAP RAP services, and SEGW Fiori Gateway services for reporting purposes.
· Collaborate with stakeholders to understand reporting needs and translate them into technical solutions.
· Design and develop Web Intelligence (WebI) reports and dashboards to meet business requirements.
· Perform Analytics CDS data modelling to create actionable insights from raw data.
· Implement CDS authorization concepts and ensure compliance with SAP’s security and authorization mechanisms.
· Customize WebI report layouts to optimize user experience and accessibility.
· Serve as the primary contact for incident management related to reporting issues, ensuring timely resolution.
Requirements:
· Extensive experience in SAP BOBJ (BO/BI) and WebI report development.
· Proficient in ABAP CDS and CDS Analytics Data Modelling.
· Strong knowledge of REST API programming and integration.
· Expertise in SAP authorization concepts and BOBJ user administration.
· Solid experience with ABAP RAP services, HANA CDS Views, and Fiori Gateway.
· Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage and mentor a reports team.
· Excellent communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
· Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Experience in SEGW Fiori Gateway services.
· Familiarity with SAP HANA and SAP BW.
· Experience working in agile environments.
