Are you a compassionate, patient, and experienced leader with a heart for social impact? Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment while supporting a diverse team of beneficiaries, including persons with special needs, disabilities, mental health conditions, ex-offenders, and youth at risk? If so, we invite you to consider this unique opportunity to manage a socially conscious café where 70% of our staff are beneficiaries, all working together to create a warm and welcoming space for the community.
As a Café Manager, you will play a key role in overseeing daily operations, training, and managing a team with a wide range of needs and abilities. Your ability to balance operational efficiency with empathy and understanding is crucial to maintaining the inclusive environment we strive for.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations, ensuring smooth café service and adherence to high standards of quality.
- Lead and mentor a team with a wide range of needs, providing guidance, support, and understanding.
- Manage staff schedules, training, and performance, with a focus on the growth and development of beneficiaries.
- Maintain compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations.
- Support the café’s mission of creating social impact by encouraging ethical consumerism and creating a welcoming environment for all.
Key Requirements:
- Proven experience in a café or F&B management role, preferably within a social enterprise or organization supporting a diverse group of beneficiaries.
- Strong understanding of the challenges and rewards of working with persons with special needs, disabilities, mental health conditions, ex-offenders, and youth at risk.
- Passion for helping others and a deep commitment to social causes.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, while providing personalized support to staff.
- Strong understanding of café operations, including inventory management, budgeting, and customer service.
Salary: S$3,100 - S$3,200 per month (due to our social enterprise model, we are seeking candidates driven by passion and purpose rather than financial gain).
This is a challenging yet deeply rewarding role, ideal for someone who has both the operational expertise and the heart for transforming lives. If you feel you meet these requirements and are committed to creating a positive impact, we look forward to hearing from you.
