Job Responsibilities
· Gather and analyse market information, market trends and statistics;
· Analysis of market information and trends to devise trading strategies for the trading team;
· Establish and lead the crude oil analysis team;
· Interacting and working closely with the crude traders;
· Support the global analytics team to formalise on market structure for trading;
· Apply robust quantitative modelling methods to develop outlooks on medium to long term oil market fundamentals (eg. monthly supply- demand outlook for the next 12 months, scenario planning for the next 5-10 years) and price forecast;
Job Requirements
· Candidate must possess at least Bachelor's Degree/Post Graduate Diploma/Professional Degree in Business Studies/Administration/Management or equivalent;
· At least 5-8 Year(s) work experience in Crude oil, experience in oil major/major trading house/refinery /market research institutions will be preferred;
· Good quantitative and statistical analysis skills will be preferred;
· In-depth understanding of either upstream or downstream operations;
· Familiar with crude supply and demand models and valuation of crude differentials.
· An excellent understanding of global oil market and refining;
· Ability to work independently as well as in a team;
· Strong speaking and writing skills in both English and Mandarin as the role requires effective communication with Chinese-speaking counterparties and HQ;
· Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work with a wide range of people;
