The Tax Manager at AAS applies his/her tax experience to ensure tax accounting, tax compliance and tax reporting requirements are met. This role, within the Controller’s department, partners with other departments including Treasury and Law, as well as outside advisors to ensure best-in-class compliance.
Key activities:
- Oversee income tax compliance, including exercising key quality controls.
- Document, and implement operating procedures and maintain effective controls over tax accounting and tax compliance.
- Implement Tax Policy and protocols for the administration of all tax compliance and tax accounting matters.
- Undertake accounting for income taxes and reporting disclosures related to income taxes.
- Identify tax issues with respect to tax compliance and income tax accounting, provide advice and identify solutions which are communicated to relevant stakeholders.
- Establish and maintain excellent collaborative relationships with financial, accounting and reporting teams, as well as Treasury, Law and other departments as required.
- Ensure the accuracy of the tax figures and estimates included within planning and financial reporting.
- Monitor and analyze intercompany transactions to ensure compliance with transfer pricing guidelines and regulations.
- Review intercompany agreements and ensure alignment with transfer pricing policies.
- Review detailed documentation to support the company’s transfer pricing policies and methodologies.
- Oversees, implements and ensures Tax compliance requirements mandated as part of awarded Tax Incentives are met.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related discipline
- CPA (USA Only), Chartered Accountant, ACCA
- Preferably Accredited Tax Practitioner (ATP) or Accredited Tax Advisor (ATA)
- Industry experience (in-house tax team)
- Awareness/experience with Singapore Tax Incentives (preference: Finance & Treasury Center Inventive)
- 15 years of minimum work experience
