Job Responsibilities
- Attend calls, emails, or faxes from other agents for pre-alert
- Receive pre-alert through email from customer service and overseas agents
- Monitor shipments (arrival date, time, short landed, survey, missing)
- Transfer and create job information into the system
- Break-bulk console and direct consignments
- Correspond with overseas offices on general import inquiries
- Attend to customers’ requests for flight info, cargo, and delivery status, permit, Invoice, etc
- Submit claims for missing or damaged cargo
- Arrange delivery to the consignee’s premises
- Attend to POD as requested by overseas counterparts
- Respond query from the Singapore Customs – Compound, Z02, refund or approval for Temporary Import
- Perform general import admin duties if applicable
- Prepare and issue invoices and billings to close the jobs
- Filing of documents
- Any other duties as may be assigned by the company’s management from time to time
Job Requirement
- Diploma in Business Administration or equivalent
- Minimum 1-year working experience in the freight forwarding industry
- Tradenet
- Knowledge of handling dangerous goods
- Bilingual to liaise with bilingual associates and customers
- Capable of meeting deadlines and handling multi-tasks
