Job Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced R&D Engineer (Applications and Systems) specializing in Sensing Technologies to join our Client's dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in bridging the gap between IC design, product development, and customer needs, while driving technical advancements and creating innovative application solutions. This role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams to develop and implement sensing features, create evaluation kits, and support customer success through documentation and training. Key Responsibilities:
1. Product Understanding & Technical Collaboration
- Work closely with IC design & product development teams to develop a deep understanding of new products’ characteristics and features.
- Collaborate with R&D teams to architect, design, and implement new sensing features and algorithms that align with products, solutions, or customer requirements.
2. Feature Development & Solution Design
- Design and develop use models and application demonstrations to highlight product features for sales and marketing promotion.
- Create evaluation kits and demonstration kits for new sensing products, ensuring robust testing and documentation to support product performance.
3. Technical Documentation & Support
- Develop comprehensive application notes, white papers, and technical documents to provide information and support to customers.
- Conduct system-level evaluations to validate product functionality and gather data to enhance technical documentation.
4. Internal & Customer Training
- Conduct application training sessions for internal teams on new products and technologies.
- Provide feedback to design & development teams by communicating customer needs, issues, and opportunities that can be leveraged for future product improvements.
5. Cross-Functional Collaboration & Customer Engagement
- Partner with IC design and product development teams to plan and conduct system-level evaluations in support of new product development.
- Act as a technical liaison between the organization and customers, offering technical support and training as needed.
- Develop customer-centric solutions to address specific needs and applications, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and success.
Education & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in R&D, Application Engineering, Embedded Systems, or Product Development environments.
- Proficiency in common programming languages, such as C, C#, Python, and familiarity with development platforms like Raspberry Pi, Arduino, or Wireless-SoC.
- Experience with development tools such as IDEs, in-circuit emulators, and oscilloscopes.
- Strong technical knowledge of optoelectronics devices and sensor applications.
- Experience in optical-related testing and characterization is desirable.
- Exposure to machine learning frameworks is a plus.
- Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
