Job Role Overview:
The Accountant will be responsible for managing month-end closing processes and preparing monthly and quarterly reports for HQ. This role involves overseeing key financial activities, including asset management, accounts receivable/payable, and maintaining accurate records in SAP.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Manage the month-end closing process for fixed assets, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and recharge-related transactions, ensuring accurate reporting to HQ on a quarterly basis.
2. Maintain and update the fixed assets register for business units, ensuring compliance with IFRS standards. Conduct annual on-site audits to verify the physical existence of assets.
3. Handle monthly closing tasks such as preparing journal entries, accruals, and processing cost recovery (credit/debit notes), ensuring timely entries into SAP financial modules and updating balance sheet schedules.
4. Manage master data and company balances, coordinating inter-company transactions with subsidiaries or related parties. Ensure accurate preparation of monthly inter-company balances within the FUJIFILM Group.
5. Oversee accounts receivable (AR) processes, including daily or weekly collection and timely processing of invoices through the SAP system. Ensure accurate reconciliation and offsetting of payments.
6. Generate and review monthly aging reports for all business units, calculating AR provisions based on HQ guidelines. Conduct annual credit limit reviews, ensuring terms and amounts are up to date.
7. Prepare audit schedules and supporting documentation for both internal and external audits in compliance with company and statutory requirements.
8. Review and update financial procedures, working to streamline and automate finance-related processes. Ensure all procedures align with company policies.
9. Collaborate cross-functionally with other teams within FUJIFILM Asia Pacific Pte Ltd, taking on additional ad-hoc projects as assigned by management within reason.
Job Requirements:
· Min Degree in Accountancy or equivalent professional accounting qualification.
· At least 2-5 years of relevant experience in similar environment.
· Good working knowledge of related accounting standards.
· Proficient in Microsoft applications such as Excel, Advanced Excel, PowerPoint and presentation & analytical skills.
· Knowledge of SAP FICO is advantageous.
· Possess good interpersonal and good problem-solving skills.
· Analytical and meticulous with an eye for detail.
· Hands-on, with an inquisitive mind.
· A good team player who can work with minimum supervision.
· Able to work under pressure.
