A 12-months contract assigned to our client
Work Location: To be confirmed (during interview)
Salary Range : $4,000-$4,500
Technical Support:
1. Assist with Java application development and troubleshooting.
2. Write and optimize SQL queries for reporting and data analysis.
3. Support users with technical issues and work on improving system performance.
Functional Support:
1. Understand business needs and translate them into technical requirements.
2. Work with users and developers to improve processes and functionality.
3. Test and ensure new features meet business needs.
Problem Solving:
1. Identify and fix technical issues related to Java applications and SQL databases.
2. Help analyze operational problems and suggest improvements.
Teamwork:
1. Work closely with both technical teams and business users to ensure smooth communication.
2. Contribute to system improvements and process automation.
Skills and Requirements:
1. Knowledge of Java and Cobol Mainframe programming
2. Experience with SQL databases and query writing.
3. Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
4. Strong communication skills to work with both technical and non-technical teams.
5. A team player who is eager to learn and grow.
Optional
'Good to Have' Skills:
1. Experience with Enterprise Java-related backend frameworks (e.g., Spring, Hibernate, JPA).
2. Experience with frontend UI development, particularly with React and Typescript.
3. Experience with Microsoft Excel VBA and Excel Macros.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
2. 3-4 years of experience working with Java, Cobol and SQL.
3. Experience in technical support or a similar role is a plus.
4. 2+ years of experience in operational support, including incident management, monitoring, and
resolution.
