Personnel to be deployed at the following hours:
- Mondays to Thursdays: 8:00am to 5:30pm, inclusive of 1-hour lunch break
- Fridays: 8:00am to 5:00pm, inclusive of 1-hour lunch break
- Service not required on Saturdays, Sundays, and gazetted public holidays
Scope of Services
- Implementation and Conducting of New Media Literacy Programmes for Students
- Assist Head of Department (HOD) / Subject Head (SH) Information Communication & Technology (ICT) in planning and implementing New Media Literacy workshops for students.
- Conduct New Media Literacy workshops supported by teachers in the school’s Technology for Learning (TFL) committee.
- New Media Literacy workshops can cover areas such as photo editing, video editing, infographics design, etc.
- Support School’s Applied Learning Programme / Student-Initiated Learning
- Work with selected group(s) of students to develop prototype applications for their Applied Learning Programme (ALP) projects.
- Train and supervise students in the use of the iMaker (maker space) room.
- Conduct training for / support selected students in their Student-Initiated Learning related to ICT / Multimedia.
- Identify Training Needs and Conduct Training Courses and Workshops for School Staff
- Develop and customize training programmes supported with learning materials that suit the learning needs of staff.
- Support the school’s ICT programmes by advising staff on the affordances of various ICT tools and collaborating with staff and Instructional Programme (IP) HODs in the development of ICT integrated lessons.
- Support for School Events & Multimedia Projects
- Support deployment and use of Audio Visual (AV) equipment during school events.
- Coordinate and assist teachers in conducting ICT-related events, e.g., Internet Safer Week.
- Provide services for school functions pertaining to ICT-related matters.
- Support school multimedia projects (e.g., videos, microsites) for publicity, staff/student training, and other school events.
- Support for School Audio Visual (AV) Equipment
- Work closely with ICT Associate, SH/ICT, and HOD/ICT on maintenance of the school’s AV equipment, which includes projectors and visualizers in classrooms and special venues.
- Support teachers and staff on troubleshooting AV equipment.
- Provide training for the school’s Audio Visual, Infocomm & Media (AIMs) Club students on the use of AV equipment to support school events and daily operations such as morning assemblies.
- Working with Other ICT Department Staff and Other Projects
- Work closely with the ICT Associate, Desktop Engineers (DEs), and any other ICT support staff in the school to ensure the smooth operation of school programmes and events.
- Perform any other work or projects as instructed by HOD/SH (ICT).
Qualification, Skill & Experience of the Contractor’s Personnel
The Personnel shall minimally have the following qualifications, skills, and experience:
a) A diploma from a recognized institution, preferably in an Information Technology-related discipline, with 3 years of relevant experience; those without a diploma and with relevant experience and expertise may also apply.
b) Familiarity with various operating systems (Windows, Android, and iOS) and mobile learning devices (iPads, Chromebooks, Surface tablets, etc.).
c) Experience in operating and maintaining audio-visual equipment such as projectors and visualizers.
d) Skills in using Google GSuite & Microsoft 365 for Education.
e) Skills in block-based programming.
f) Skills in preparing video tutorials and instruction manuals for online applications and equipment for teaching and learning.
g) Good verbal and written communication skills. The candidate should be able to conduct lessons in English.
h) Ability to work closely with teachers and staff on ICT matters.
i) Availability to attend an interview if called upon.
