Our two brands, Shark, and Ninja, have enjoyed unprecedented growth in the past 5 years, driven mainly by the very strong innovation pipeline on both brands. Given this success in our existing markets, Shark Ninja has embarked on a bold plan for growing APAC business, in which APAC plays a critical role.
As we continue to grow, we are looking for a Product Marketing manager, New Distributor Markets, to join our team. This role will be based in Singapore
Position Overview:
This person will report directly to the General Manager for Distributor Markets, APAC. This person will also work closely with the product development team in our US office on product assortment in our new distributor markets.
Essential Responsibilities
Product Localization and Development
- Own product assortment in new distributor markets (Philippines, Thailand, Indonesia and new market), including configurations, color, features & benefits
- Work closely with Product Development and Program Coordinators at US Boston headquarter to ensure new products are on cost, on time, and with the right features & benefits for the local consumer and market
- Implement local product strategies in line with global product strategies to strengthen market position. Develop all on-box and in-box collateral within global guidance.
- Product guidance to Sales and Marketing team on product claims, demonstration development, channel choices and pricing, and after service.
Market Trend
- Be able to timely and accurately research, monitor and analyze the dynamics of competitors, and propose corresponding countermeasures.
- Identify market trend to develop agile product portfolio strategy for new business area.
- Be involved and embedded in consumer insights and research studies to inform market opportunity with customers and consumers' trend and identify potential category
Requirements:
- At least 10 years of product experience, especially in product development and implementation
- Experience in Consumer Electronics. Small domestic appliances experience is preferred.
- BA degree or equivalent
- Skill set to implement new products with focus on the user experience and technical aspects.
- Powerful project management / leadership skills which will enable cross-functional collaboration to develop and deliver robust plans.
- Analytics and financials skills.
- Multi-function capacity and flexibility to deal with ambiguous situations.
- Communication skills with excellent English. There will be intensive daily communication with Boston head office Product Marketing team which will require strong English skills.
- Will work with the Marketing Communications team to ensure all messaging / tone and manner consistency.
- Periodical APAC regional travel, possibility to visit Boston head office depending on responsible project.
