What to expect
As a Manager, you will find yourself immersed in some of the most interesting transactions and disputes in the world. You will be responsible for managing project work streams, building client relationships, providing technical, analytical and reporting assistance, and managing and coaching more junior team members. You can expect to be involved in valuations, damages assessments, financial modelling and M&A due diligence, each of which will require your work to be summarised in presentations and reports addressed to clients, courts and tribunals . No two projects are the same; you will be constantly challenged to support the delivery of high quality services to our clients.
Core activities
· Aim to autonomously manage a project (analysis, deliverable, time and budget)
· Structure analyses to be carried out by less experienced team members and reviews the quality of the work performed, including for (technical) consistency and completeness
· Triangulates and cross-checks of information provided or calculations performed
· Identifies key issues arising during an engagement independently and develops his/her own solutions relating to main project issues or risks. Summarizes findings to director/partner
· Structures and drafts report sections and/or creates draft presentations
· Start managing client’s relationships and communications, including the manager / director or engagement partner
· Actively provides support in training of analysts on internal/external technical standards and industry developments
· Shows efficient organization when involved in two assignments
Requirements
· Strong academic background with financial qualifications such as ACA
· Advisory experience in corporate finance, valuations, transaction or dispute situations
· Exceptional numerical and analytical skills, commercial awareness and attention to detail
· Fluency in English with excellent oral and written communication skills, particularly the ability to summarise (fluency in other languages is also desirable but not essential)
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team
· Self-confidence and humility: curious, enthusiastic and willing to learn
· Advanced Microsoft Office skills (VBA and other programming skills are an advantage)
