About Us

LawNet Technology Services (LTS) is the technology company behind LawNet, Singapore’s leading portal for legal research, information and transactions. An indispensable tool for the legal community since 1990, LawNet is subscribed by a majority of Singapore lawyers and is also accessible by anyone outside the profession. Users can conduct research on Singapore primary legal materials (Singapore Law Reports, unreported judgments and legislation) and secondary materials (such as Parliamentary reports, legal news, textbooks and journals). LawNet continues to enhance its services and content while maintaining its affordable and highly competitive subscription rates, making it an essential resource for the legal community.

LTS is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Singapore Academy of Law (SAL), a promotion and development agency for Singapore’s legal industry. In addition to running LawNet, LTS manages the technology driving SAL’s support services for Singapore’s legal industry and statutory functions such as stakeholding services and appointment of Senior Counsel, Commissioners for Oaths and Notaries Public.

Led by a Board of Directors who understands both the capabilities of technology and the needs of the legal profession, LTS continues to develop bold and innovative products and services that will better serve the needs of the legal community.



REPORTING STRUCTURE

The Assistant Manager (LawNet Product Operations) will report to the Deputy Director (Product Management). You will oversee and ensure defined product releases of LawNet are on schedule.



KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee and ensure defined product releases of LawNet are on schedule.
  • Assist with analysis of internal and external stakeholders needs and desires by market research, surveys or user group testing.
  • Support product ideation, technical development, product testing, launch, end-user training and rollout.
  • Assist in the planning of product release plans with product managers and prepare artefacts for delivery of new functionalities to external stakeholders.
  • Recommend new tools and processes within the product team to ensure adequate visibility for stakeholders on progress and enable an efficient product management practice.
  • Embody and champion the product vision, roadmap and growth opportunities to the development teams and stakeholders.
  • Analyze feedback from users and usage data to identify new opportunities or problems that the product should address.
  • Play an active role in mitigating impediments impacting successful team completion of Release/Sprint Goals.
  • Assist in the operational preparation of user feedback sessions and support the synthesis efforts.
  • Evaluate release risk and provide advice and guidance to stakeholders and business units.
  • Complete product operational activities by scheduling and coordinating within the product team and internal stakeholders; and following up on work results.
  • Create relevant product documentation for stakeholders’ reference.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.


SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • At least Diploma in Information Technology / Business Management.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology / Business Management is preferred.
  • Experience in software product management, or as an associate product manager, with successes in (1) understanding the end-user and driving product adoption, and (2) delivering products on-time and defining product success metrics ensuring commercial relevance.
  • Technical background with understanding and/or hands-on experience in software development and web technologies.
  • Polished professionalism with outstanding strategic, organizational, planning (project & finances), communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Team player who is independent, resilient and resourceful.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Proven track record of exceeding KPIs.
  • Proven ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience in liaising with government stakeholders and working with public sector systems is an advantage.
  • Strong metrics and analytical orientation.
  • Able to multi-task within tight deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills, with strong presentation skill.
  • Background operating in Legal practice will be a plus.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications (e.g. Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint) and digitally proficient to learn the use of new tools.


The level of offer and appointment designation will be commensurate with applicants’ relevant experience and track records. Successful candidate will be offered a 2-year contract in the first instance.
