Responsibilities
- Responsible for the daily operations which include the scrutiny of contracts, preparation activities relating to payment security, documentation, insurance, survey, agency appointment, etc.
- Implementation of trading operations for spot and term contracts for oil products and ensuring the smooth execution of the trading operations from the port of loading to the port of discharge
- Liaise closely with external stakeholders, including but not limited to terminal owners and counterparties on timely product loading
- Ensure timely communication of the cargo nomination
- Ensure timely updates of trade information into the ERPsystem
- Ensure smooth running for trade finance and billing related activities
- Maintain the database of operational information on a daily basis for analysis and reporting purposes
- Collaborate with team members and build productive working relationships with internal stakeholders i.e. Traders, Charterers, Vetting, Legal, Finance, and any concerned teams to ensure smooth communication within the company
- Work seamlessly with Unipec Beijing HQ on daily operation; work closely and provide support to Unipec Beijing HQ Oil Products team on trading operations activities
- Responsible to work with Unipec Beijing HQ for the establishment and maintenance of the oil products module in the Unipec ERP system
- Assist in the preparation of weekly/monthly/yearly management reports; exchange business and market information with relevant departments ofUnipec Beijing HQ to develop business cooperation.
- To comply and adhere to the policies and procedures of UNIPEC
- Any other tasks as assigned
Requirements
- Jobholder needs to collaborate effectively with a broad range of internal stakeholders based in Unipec HQ and Sinopec
- Established networks with Unipec HQ and Sinopec stakeholders is key. Possess understanding of operations interface with Sinopec Refineries to ensure seamless operations
- Deep understanding of Chinese culture and proficiency in written and spoken business Mandarin is a must besides English to communicate effectively with China HQ stakeholders
- Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages and overall IT literacy
- Proficient in using the ERP system
- Strong interpersonal, analytical, and quantitative skills
- Able to multitask and work in a fast pace environment
- Proven team player, proactive
- Strong desire for personal learning and sharing of knowledge and skills with others
- Proficient at working with individuals from diverse backgrounds
- Able to manage time well, work under pressure
