- Financial analysis: Analyzing financial data to identify trends, strengths, and weaknesses.
- Financial audits: Managing statutory audits, company secretary, ACRA requirement, and department of statistics requirements.
Financial Control
- Internal controls: Implementing and monitoring internal controls to safeguard assets and prevent fraud. Managing internal audits.
- Risk management: Assessing and mitigating financial risks.
- Cash flow management: Ensuring adequate cash flow to meet operational needs.
- Treasury management: Overseeing the company's cash, investments, and debt.
Financial Strategy
- Capital allocation: Allocating resources to maximize return on investment.
- Mergers and acquisitions: Evaluating and managing mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures.
- Financial performance evaluation: Measuring and reporting on the company's financial performance.
Tax Management
- Tax compliance: Ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations.
- Tax planning: Identifying tax-efficient strategies to minimize tax liabilities.
- Tax audits: Managing tax audits and disputes.
Team Management
- Team leadership: Leading and managing a team of finance professionals.
- Talent development: Recruiting, training, and developing finance team members.
- Performance evaluation: Evaluating the performance of finance team members.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in finance, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
- Proven experience in financial planning, analysis, and reporting, with strong expertise in financial forecasting, modeling, and variance analysis.
- Must have prior auditing experience at one of the Big 4 accounting firms, with a deep understanding of compliance, internal controls, and financial reporting standards (FRS(I), IFRS, GAAP).
- Strong knowledge of tax management, risk management, and treasury functions.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a team of finance professionals.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strategic mindset and the ability to influence senior management.
