Job Description
In addition to your teaching duties, as a Curriculum Developer, you will have the following duties and responsibilities:
- To research, design and develop curricula and teaching materials in consultation with the Head of Department.
- To participate in the evaluations programmes conducted by
- To work with staff on devising and revising the curriculum.
- To ensure the is informed of any problems related to curricula. To identify issues and assist in strategies to overcome them.
- To organise curriculum both in hard and soft copy, and to ensure that it is backed up and secure.
- To assist with the planning, development, implementation and revision of curriculum in keeping with best practices and the Company’s needs.
- To develop programme outlines and guidelines.
- To identify new materials and resources, and make recommendations that may enhance.
- To prepare and conduct curriculum training sessions.
- To write and edit content for advertising materials that promote the curriculum.
- To prepare briefing notes and presentations on the curriculum, as requested.
- To work closely with all other curriculum development team members and offer practical assistance and support to them where need be.
- To give regular updates on the progression of work to the Head of Hua Language Centre.
- To meet with the Heads of Departments to assess their curriculum needs and give updates on curriculum development progress.
- To work with the Head of Department to identify curriculum development priorities and come up with an annual curriculum development plan.
- To integrate technology into curriculum where relevant to ensure.
- Any other curriculum-related tasks as and when they arise.

Your teaching role will involve helping learners make excellent progress with their, engendering in them a love of learning by delivering the curriculum in an engaging, interactive and professional manner and contributing positively to life at Hua Language Centre.
This will include:
Planning, Teaching and Class Management
- To prepare and deliver the curriculum with care and enthusiasm, in ways that facilitate active learning, excite curiosity and enrich the learners’ knowledge and understanding.
- To meet the learning objectives of each programme and differentiate learning activities to meet the varying needs of the students in each class.
- To use relevant teaching resources to support instruction.
- To liaise closely with the on any matters concerning student development, performance or behaviour that are of concern.
- To create a stimulating, tidy and interactive classroom and create regular displays of students’ work.
- To establish routines and enforce age-appropriate classroom management procedures.
- To ensure that the students are supervised and safe at all times.
- To teach up to 16 hours a week.
Monitoring, Assessment, Reporting and Recording
- To encourage and monitor the development and progress of each individual student through age-appropriate assessment and careful observation.
- To guide and mark class work in a timely and careful manner.
- To provide students, parents and other stakeholders with appropriate and constructive feedback on progress made, both on an on-going basis and during our more formal parent-teacher meetings.
- To maintain accurate and complete records of students' attendance, progress, development, and any other records required by the Company.

- To be an ambassador for Hua Language Centre.
- To build a strong and positive rapport with students and parents that encourages customer confidence, student retention and customer loyalty.
- To participate in school meetings and parent-teacher meetings.
- To liaise with colleagues on areas requiring collaboration, and to work flexibly and willingly for the good of the Company.
