Reporting to the Senior Manager, Finance, the Assistant/Manager’s main responsibilities are:
RESPONSIBILITIES
Finance
- Responsible for accurate financial and statutory reporting to ensure timely monthly closing.
- Manage Treasury and cash management matters.
- Oversee patient billing and collection process.
- Assist in the annual budgeting exercises.
- Lead and oversee internal, external and project-based audits to ensure compliance with accounting standards and statutory legislations.
- Assist in Charity Projects, including the preparation of Income Statement and Audit Certification.
- Ensure timely quarterly submission of GST and other statutory reporting as required.
- Collaborating with corporate secretary, auditors and tax agents on all statutory reporting.
- Review and improve accounting policies and procedures to enhance internal controls.
Grant/Funding Management and Disbursement
- Ensure timely submission of claims to MOH/AIC and monitor claim disbursement.
- Conduct quarterly and annual subvention reconciliation through ILTC Portal.
- Submission of statistics to MOH/AIC/Medifund/MPAC.
- Oversee the CST Grant application and utilisation.
- Assist in grant audit and preparation for Year End CST Audit Certification.
Others
- Provide secretarial support for the council meetings and other meetings as needed.
- Provides guidance and leadership to team members.
- Support any ad-hoc projects as may be assigned from time to time
REQUIREMENTS
- Degree in Accounting/Finance/ACCA or Equivalent
- Minimum 5-6 years of related working experience, preferably in Healthcare (Audit experience will be an advantage)
- An independent individual with good leadership skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
- Positive and self-motivated
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders Meticulous and high attention to detail.
- Ability to understand and analyse financial data.
- Organised and able to work within tight deadlines with minimum supervision
