Job Responsibilities:
- Responsible for liaising with Engineering team on technical drawings, layout and clients specifications, clarifying system isometric drawings, equipment foundation drawings, drawing of parts, material lists and additional drawings for production support
- Prepares planned schedule for logistic and manpower arrangements under the supervision of senior team members and responsible for the product hierachy in outfitting installation
- Performs supervision on site to ensure outfitting installation work have been safely and appropriately executed according to the arrangement and coordination plans and sequence in outfitting production
- Coordinates with other production team members, subcontractors and consultants to resolve technical issues on-site which affect the outfitting schedule and project deliverables
- Liaises with QA/QC, owners, statutory and classification authorities for completed outfitting installation inspection and acceptance (i.e.piping systems, HVAC, electrical cabling, fitting equipment and equipment foundation) to sign off completion
- Performs on-site checks on the recorded checklists, ensuring the information is accurate and generates reports on work progress for senior team members’ review
- Maintains a high level of efficiency, ensuring good housekeeping, resource optimisation and effective material management to continuously improve the execution of outfitting scope of work
- Continually improves and implements safe work environment, efficient and effective methods for reducing project man-hours, costs and improving schedule
- Identifies, trouble-shoots problems and performs root cause analysis study on recurring cases of defects by resolving to corrective and preventive measures to improve process performance
- Works with other Production team members as required to achieve functional objectives and deadlines
- Provides support in various projects as required to promote cross-functional learning and development, balance team workload and enhance overall team productivity
- Incorporates HSEQ work cultures and best practices to ensure the successful implementation of HSEQ management systems
- Maintains and executes HSEQ procedures, policies and programmes and drives continuous improvement through risk-based thinking and analysis
- Supports the conduct of HSEQ management system audits to ensure compliance with legislations and company policies
Job Requirements:
· Bachelor’s degree in Marine/ Mechanical Engineering, or related engineering disciplines
· 3 years of working experience in planning and construction of outfitting scope of work in the oil and gas industry
· Experience in engineering outfitting activities in marine engineering projects
· Excellent proficiency in English (written and spoken)
· Knowledge and experience in the interpretation of outfitting diagrams, general mechanical drawings and its elements to deliver class approved documents and drawings
· Knowledge of engineering analysis techniques and tools/software applications (i.e.3D modeling software such as Cadmatic or Aveva Marine etc.)
· Familiar with material and equipments (i.e.main engine, generator, pump, deck machinery, mooring equipment, switchboard, etc.) used in outfitting design
· Some knowledge and experience in site inspection standards, class rules requirements and industry codes
