The team now looks for an enthusiastic and talented Structural Engineer to join the Singapore team.


The Role


This excellent opportunity would see you being based in our office in Singapore and working on some of the most exciting projects across Asia and internationally.


As part of our established structural team for Asia, you would work closely with colleagues of various disciplines, prepare structural modelling, analysis and detailed calculation for multiple materials, using appropriate software.

You will work across a variety of sectors and will have the opportunity over time to assume greater levels of responsibility and autonomy as your professional skills develop, and as you work and are supported towards PE registration / Chartership with IStructE, ICE or another equivalent organization.


The Skills


Having already been accredited with at MEng degree level (or equivalent) in Civil or Structural Engineering and with 3 to 4 years' work experience already completed, you have gained strong practical experience of structural engineering within a consultancy environment, and a competent level of relevant IT skills, including structural design software (Tekla Structural Designer, Robot Structural Analysis, SAP2000, Tedds etc.), appropriate 3D geometric modelling and parametric tools, such as Rhino and Grasshopper.


You are familiar with local codes of practice and authority submission and approval procedures.

You have a solid understanding of Parametric Modelling, Scripting and Structural Optimisation whilst possessing basic knowledge in the application of Machine Learning. You have proven ability to produce creative design solutions in multiple materials, including steel, reinforced concrete, and crucially - you have a passion for creative and intuitive design. You have demonstrated enthusiasm for design technology and using computational design-based solution to improve the design and performance of the built environment.


You are organised and methodical in your approach to managing your tasks and priorities. You strive to meet deadlines and have a close appreciation of the commercial factors which affect design solutions.

Given the collaborative and client focused nature of this role, excellent communication skills and experience of using your initiative to overcome challenges are essential.
