Substance is a disruptive recruitment firm that specializes in sourcing and placing top-tier remote, permanent and fractional talent from low-cost regions around the world, saving clients up to 70% of their recruitment costs. We are looking for a dynamic Co-Founding Recruitment Partner to join our leadership team and help build the business from the ground up. As a co-founder, you will play a critical role in driving business growth, developing client relationships, and ensuring successful candidate placements.
As the Co-Founding Recruitment Partner, you will co-lead all aspects of business development, recruitment strategy, and talent acquisition efforts for Substance. With more than 5 years of recruitment experience and a proven track record in business development and successful placements across the Asia Pacific region, you will be responsible for establishing our client base, building relationships, and managing end-to-end recruitment processes.
You will work closely with the CEO, Co Founder and the broader leadership team to drive the company’s vision forward, ensuring Substance becomes a trusted partner for businesses looking to tap into remote and fractional talent.
Key Responsibilities:
- Business Development:
- Identify, target, and acquire new clients across APAC, the US, UK, Ireland, and the Middle East, Switzerland, Nordics.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients, understanding their talent acquisition needs and offering tailored solutions.
- Develop and implement sales strategies to meet company growth objectives.
- Collaborate with the CEO to set revenue targets and track progress against key metrics.
- Recruitment Strategy & Execution:
- Manage full-cycle recruitment processes from sourcing to candidate placement, ensuring high-quality service delivery to clients.
- Leverage your expertise in recruitment to identify and attract top-tier talent from across the Asia Pacific, NORAM, MEA and other regions, particularly remote and fractional workers.
- Source candidates through various channels, including job boards, social media, and networking.
- Provide a consultative approach to both clients and candidates, guiding them through the recruitment process and making successful placements.
- Client & Candidate Management:
- Develop long-term client partnerships by providing exceptional service and maintaining a deep understanding of their needs.
- Ensure a positive candidate experience, managing communication and feedback throughout the recruitment process.
- Conduct regular follow-ups with clients and candidates post-placement to ensure satisfaction.
- Team Leadership & Collaboration:
- Play a key role in shaping the company culture and recruitment team as the business grows.
- Mentor and coach junior team members as they come on board, helping to build a strong and efficient recruitment function.
- Market Insights & Trends:
- Stay up-to-date with recruitment trends, market dynamics, and talent acquisition best practices in APAC, MEA, NORAM and other target regions.
- Analyze industry trends and competitive offerings to continuously improve the company’s recruitment solutions.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in recruitment agencies, with a focus on business development and successful placements in the Asia Pacific region.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of in-house talent acquisition experience.
- Proven track record of generating revenue through client acquisition and maintaining long-term client relationships.
- Skills:
- Strong business development skills, with the ability to identify new opportunities and close deals.
- Exceptional relationship-building and networking abilities, both with clients and candidates.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with a consultative sales approach.
- Strategic thinker who can develop and execute recruitment strategies tailored to client needs.
- Knowledge:
- Deep understanding of the Asia Pacific recruitment landscape, including sourcing remote and fractional talent.
- Familiarity with using Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools.
