As Senior Infrastructure Engineer (Patch Management), you will be responsible for for overseeing and managing the patch management operations within the organization. This role primarily focuses on utilizing SCCM and WSUS to ensure that all systems and applications are up-to-date with the latest security patches and software updates. The successful candidate will have extensive experience in managing enterprise environments, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to lead a team in delivering effective patch management solutions.
What will you do?
Patch Management:
Lead the planning, testing, deployment, and monitoring of security patches and updates using SCCM and WSUS.
Develop and implement patch management policies and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.
Collaborate with security teams to prioritize patches based on vulnerability assessments and threat intelligence.
SCCM Administration:
Design, configure, and maintain SCCM infrastructure to support patch deployment, software distribution, and operating system deployment.
Monitor and troubleshoot SCCM-related issues and ensure optimal performance of the system.
Create and manage SCCM collections, advertisements, and packages for application deployments.
WSUS Administration:
Manage WSUS server settings, approvals, and synchronizations to ensure timely deployment of Microsoft updates.
Troubleshoot WSUS-related issues and perform regular maintenance and optimizations.
Reporting and Compliance:
Generate detailed reports on patch compliance, vulnerabilities, and remediation efforts for management review.
Ensure all systems are compliant with organizational security policies and regulatory requirements.
Team Leadership:
Mentor and guide junior team members, providing technical expertise and support in patch management processes.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams to address patch-related issues and system updates.
Continuous Improvement:
Evaluate and recommend new tools and technologies to enhance patch management operations.
Stay current with industry trends and best practices related to infrastructure management and security.
