We are seeking an Investment Research Analyst to join our family office based in Singapore. As an Investment Research Analyst, you will play a crucial role in assisting with investment decision-making by conducting thorough market research, financial analysis, and due diligence. You will work closely with the Investment Directors to provide comprehensive investment recommendations and contribute to the achievement of the family office's financial objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Research and Analysis: Conduct thorough research on potential investment opportunities, including companies, industries, and economic trends. Analyze financial statements, market data, and industry reports to assess investment potential and risks across various asset classes, including equities, fixed income, real estate, private equity and alternative investments.
Market Monitoring: Keep abreast of market news, economic indicators, and regulatory developments that may impact investment decisions. Track the performance of existing investments and identify potential risks and opportunities.
Investment Support: Provide direct support to the fund manager in various investment-related tasks, including data analysis, portfolio construction, and risk management.
Ongoing Learning: Stay updated on investment strategies, market trends, and industry best practices through ongoing learning and development.
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, business, mathematics or engineering
- Fresh graduates or individuals with relevant experience are encouraged to apply
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Proficient in data collection and analysis
- Ability to evaluate and analyse data and research effectively
- Strong understanding of quantitative skills, numerical working and forecasting
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to perform well under pressure and produce deliverables in a timely manner
- Initiative and flexibility with self-confidence and a natural drive for research
- Professionalism, integrity, and a strong work ethic to uphold confidentiality and high ethical standards in handling sensitive financial information
Good to haves:
- CFA qualification
- Strong financial analysis skills with an understanding of investment valuation techniques, financial modelling, and quantitative analysis.
- Proficiency in utilizing financial databases, research tools, and software (e.g., Bloomberg, Refinitiv, Morningstar) to gather and analyse investment data.
- Experience with financial data analysis & Research tools (e.g. Refinitiv).
- Knowledge of investment strategies and asset classes
